View Full Version : Midwest style...........low? T touring pics.
Here is the frame with the kickup. 9" total. I like how the Chitown and Wisco guys labeled the look midwest low. This car actually has forward rake. I feel better missing the KCSP after tonight.

Very nice. How are you going to set up the front suspension?
The front suspension is 1/4 elliptic with a 4" drop axle. It is too low to drive over a beer can...........
I ran over a cinder block on the Long Beach Freeway once.
It was taller than a beer can.
Glad I was driving a raggedy old ghetto-sled '71 Cadillac... pulverized that cinder block.
That frame looks BITCHIN with the drilled holes in the sides!!!!
Can't wait to see it together... just watch out for highway beer cans! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

hey T-dude, that looks cool as.
the only time holes in a frame have looked better is in russ meeks UNBELIEVABLE chassis that our EGO-O-RAMA favourite don posted photos of...
the main reason, i guess, is that he wanted over 100K to replicate it, so obviously you've done yours cheaper than that... the other reason, was that the holes were conical, and angled! it would have been really hard to do, because the hole 'entrance' is smaller than the 'exit', and being angled the holes are actually elliptical too.
if people haven't seen the shots, i'll post a link. amazing shit.
looks really good trent. keep it going.

Tman.. that freaking rocks.
Midwest low is the way to go..
That freaking frame rocks balls man, its awesome. I cant wait to see your tranny mount and front end setup. I look at Abombers and Bleeds frames and your frame and say to myself.. what kind of cool is that!.. I get all kinds of cool ideas from good work like this.
Straight tubing was enough work. Meeks chassis is way out there! I cant wait to start hanging stuff on the frame.

You guys keep posting shit like this and I am going to have to start working on my T again.
Thanks all.
Magnet, the tranny mt will be flat with the tubular crossmembers. The front end goes on later this week as well as the bracketry for the rear end. Then it will roll!

Great looking frame Trent!!! You keep this up and the Touring will be running and driving by spring. It will be cool to have a car to drive again, won't it?? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Isn't it about time to start over and build a new frame or are you gonna wait until to get everything mounted. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Le fromage suisse is looking good there Trent.
Naw Zeke, false starts are over. My paint guy even dropped off my white paint for the wheels and firewall today. I didnt realize how rockeriffic the color is til now........it is called "Cherry Blossom White" http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

What do you need to qualify for Midwest Low? My '55 has 2 3/4" of frame to ground clearance, but it's a stock framed, full bodied 50's car http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Actually "Cherry Blossom White" is very swing-era, and I don't mean the mid- to late-nineties.
