I prefer cars from the 30s but the looks of this car appealed to me greatly

I think that car was a bit overdone, I'm a fan of subtlety. It was a really nice car though.

There was a news tower right behind the host hotel where the fire and mayhem went down... word on the street is that there was a camera on the tower and there was a segment of video on the 10:00 news about what was going down in the parking lot! I have contacted the news station and am attempting to obtain said video. If I get it (and I assure you that I will) I will post a link to the footage!!!!
I posted some pics on a previous thread in case you missed them, check out the flaming cart. Monkey, where are your pics?

[/ QUOTE ] I drove my 35 to Pate a lot, too. It is a medium blue with yellow 35 wire wheels. I painted the 35 10 yrs ago with porch and deck enamel because I knew it would turn flat and chalky. A quick path to patina! My grandfathers 37 is not running. I havent seen the truck you describe.

Hey Butt, it's a Buick. A '48 I think, maybe '47. The car was very nice. I don't dig the fake zoomies peaking out behing the wheel well, but that is being pretty picky. The car is cool.

Well, I have gone all the way to the home office of the News station (KTEN channel 10) to try and get a copy of Saturday nights broadcast containing footage of the parking lot taken from the news tower camera...
It looks as if we will not be getting a copy. There is a new policy in place that states they can't copy previous newscasts and give them to vewiers.
sun-of-a-bitch!
I tried.
Anyone out there work for this news channel or another affiliate station? If so, get a copy and post it please...
Sorry.

Regardless of what some of you might think of this car, I really like the front end. I wasn't there so I can't comment on the rest of it. But that grille/bumper treatment really works for me.
