Sodbuster, great to see the pics on so soon.Had a great day, made a bunch of new friends, and ate more than I should have.Saw some really cool places and stuff.I really enjoyed getting out and doing something with the cars, opposed to sitting in lawn chairs watching people dust thier cars off and listening to spectators saying I used to have one just like that one or Marge look at that scratch on that one!Made a complete day of it,we followed Dusty home and checked out his garage and his A-coupe project----very cooool car.Watch for this one,its gonna be worth the wait!Just wanted to say Thanks to all who organized the day, it was fun!

Rudy,
I think that it is a local Jeff. I don't think that he is on the Board. I also heard that they built the car in 4 months.

Thanks for having this again. Everyone around the world should start their own reliability run, keep it a small group of cars (10-20). Meet early in the morning and stop off at some cool sites along the way, and take back roads thru small towns.
I started yesterday trying to find "Erotic City". And I even posted a map to it. I drove right by it and had to stop and ask a gas station clerk "I know this is going to sound very odd, but I am meeting some old car guys in the parking lot of Erotic City. Do you know where it is? She looked at me with a grin (at 8:30 in the morning) and said yea, go back about ten blocks and it is on your left".
So met up with everyone and received the route map and the spark plug. I had to go pick up Jen and we met up with everyone.
The first stop was at the Vaile mansion, that was constructed in 1880. Very neat stop and not car related.
http://www.f-stop.com/vaile.jpg
Then driving around on the backroads on the way to the "Peckerwood Club". Jen and I were getting a little nervous about the gas in the tank so we stopped off real quick and put five gallons in the eight gallon tank. Caught up with everyone at the Peckerwood Club and Grimlok was looking for Model A parts.
Then it was off to have lunch at the Maid Rite. On the way there was a bunch of tin up in the hills(55 Chevy/Model A's/38' Ford truck grill poking out of the tree's), Jen was pointing these out and I think we were slowing down Dusty behind us. Looks like a road trip is due. We had lunch at Maid rite. But no locals this year saying "You boys like old cars", "I have a Model A in the garage forsale".
Then off to the "Worlds safe-ist Bridge". It is a two lane bridge that is all rusted out and about a half mile long over the Missouri river.

http://photo.starblvd.net/~MOKANdrags/5-1-3.jpg
Then we stopped at an old airport. The guy opened up the hanger and there was a bi-plane and a couple other vintage planes in there. Nothing like an old airport with that long runway. I think that idea's were lit in some heads.
Are next stop was at Excelsior Springs to the "Hall of Water". It was a historic old town and very neat again.

Off to BB's to eat dinner. As we were driving thru the Liberty, MO town square. We lost WZ Junk and Rocky. We had to pull over and play cell phone catch up with them. Then BB' Lawnside BBQ for dinner and drinks.
http://photo.starblvd.net/~MOKANdrags/5-3-5.jpg
WZ Junk and His brother drove up from Southwest Missouri. Nice seeing you guys.
Choprods and his brother drove the ?Camino down to KC with plexi glass side windows.
Rocky has his winter driver pinstriped and it has been named.
And Ryan and Marcie. It was another fun day and even the wife had alot of fun.

I wasn't sure that I was going to make it, I was determined.
I finished up the new engine install at 5:30 Saturday moring after an all nighter and used the KCSP as a beak-in run for the '54.
I ran it without a hood because there was no one at my house awake to help me put it on.
Had a great time running around amongst a bunch of really cool cars (and trucks). Great people, great country side. HAd to leave after the BBQ to get home and fall into the bed. I really regret having to miss the after-dinner festivities. I won't make that istake again...
Thanks again.

The Blue car is KCTA Chris. He is a cool HAMBer
That black merc was pissed off all day. Just generally had a bad attitude about everything. I wouldn't park next to it in fear that it might eat me!!!

Yeah, it had big, bad, shiny teeth. I shoulda got a photo if it with his blonde girlfriend in it. Her big hair completely filled up the chopped window opening. Looked really cool, like a Dave Bell cartoon.
