Why is it that these IDIOTS keep posting to the ads ? Cant they read the rules.
Its not just FNGs or Newbies posting on the ads, I see a lot people that should know better doing this.
Maybe once an ad has been posted only the author or moderator can post.
Any way to do that ?

There is a way to do that, but some questions are legitimate... In any case, this isn't a very good classifieds site... and we are fine with that.

I beg to differ on that. It's the only site where most everything in the classifieds is relevent to me. I choose to only buy stuff from folks that have been here a while, and I've never been burned. Came close once, but I shoulda known better, the kid was new and ONLY used the classifieds but I got my money back (nicely) when I saw him at roundup.

And yes, thanks to the classifieds mods.

I apologize. I said Rocky because in the for sale ads i see "last edited by rocky" about 50 times a day. You guys definitely have some patience.

Could it be possible to make the ads be bumped up by the seller only? People could post on the ads and it wouldn't bump the thread up?

IT IS because when you search by "word" looking for posts and discussions, many times you pick up hits in the ADD section, and you lose track of what area you are in...........until after you make the comment, and someone jumps down your throat. There is an art to communication, you would not jump down peoples throat so quick in person.....I bet.... Just a thought.

I do agree with you on that one . I am the kind of guy that will send the FNG a PM if they do a screw up and tell them what not to ask or say instead of putting up a crappy comment ! Most say thank you but I did get one that told me to mind my own bussiness ! OH Well ! I was a member on another site where a newbie asked a simple question and many of the older members gave them a rash of shit for asking a question . Well I stuck up for the guy so then I got a ton of crap for sticking up for the newbie . Well long story short , I told them what to do with their little group of old know it all assholes along with the site and will NEVER go back there again , ever !
I told them and even tell them here , hey ....you started at the same place once too so lay off , it's only a question !! We are all allowed to make a mistake once in a while !
This is still is the best site ever on the web for traditional hot rodding !!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter how you set it up, there are always people who want to push the set rules or wiggle around in the gray area.

These people are usually lawyers or racers.
