Trying to come to a decision for the 36 Ford pickup of mine.
I am planning on a revamp for some time. I have been collecting parts along the way.
So now the problem is what kinda wheels do I run?
Here are my options.
1. artillery style wheels, painted with baby moon centers...hard to find but look kinda cool I think
2. 35 Ford wires- painted with chrome centercaps.
3. Solids- painted (non-red) Ford script and beauty rings.
I am thinking for a color scheme I'll have a Dark Navy glossy paint with Ivory wheels and pinstriping. Gimme your opinions. The truck will reflect a late 50's- early 60's theme.

Here is a pic of dad's 36 in the late 50's. I dig the white running boards. I may do mine in Ivory to offset the wheels.

It cracks me up. He said he never had any money so he painted his whitewalls on himself. Check out the lines around the tires.......

So I guess a lot depends on what I can find etc.
I don't have any of the above just thinking about em.
I know the solids are prolly the easiest to get, but I kinda like the look of the wires.
Do they make the new rotors for disc brakes with the wide 5-5 1/2" pattern?

Wires for sure. Maybe a really pale yellow...almost cream w/ matching pinstriping.

Root, I have always been fond of wires but I do like the artillery wheels. I think with the right stance and colors any of those wheel combinations are gonna look cool. I have to agree with Assdragger, your Dad has a bitchin truck!

If you're going for a late 50's- early 60's theme, I'd think solids would be the way to go. Aren't wires more of a pre-war thing?
