Man I am so stoked! I've been hunting one of these trucks for YEARS. The fact that Dan Picasso drew that BAD ASS illustration in Custom Rodder only made this purchase all the more better. They guy I bought it from claimed it ran, But I couldn't get it started, not a big deal. Anyhow, I'll put more pics up soon.

Ahhh,

Thats one of the Uni-body trucks...right?
I have always been curious and have asked several OWNERS of mid sixties Ford trucks and have yet to recieve the answer....
Are those true unibodies...as in...NO frame? or is the bed just stuck onto the cab?

Cool truck man. A guy up the street from me has a similar one that I drool over....

Von, the truck has a regular truck frame, but the bed is mated to the cab. I have seen some sick ass rides built from the unibodies. I saw one a few years ago that had about a 6" chop, suicide doors and sitting on the ground. I'd be interested in seeing one that was doing with wide whites, never seen that style on one yet.

Levis,
My plans are to slam it like Jeem's truck. More that likely run steelies with Shannon cones and 2 inch whitewalls. White tuck n roll, with matching tonneau cover. I'll run the 292 till it fails, then swap it for a 351 with a C6.

Von,
As it turns out the unibody truck does have a frame under it. Just the body is well, unibody. Which now that I think about it, should make for an interesting frame off!

i like the unibody trucks.

I have a 66 f100, not a unibody, but pretty much the same.

I have four of those trucks in my shop right now, one of them is a short bed big window, one a shortbed small window and the other two are long beds. One of the long beds is mine and is currently being re-constructed.

Very very cool. What a great body style. As traditional as I am, I really like these trucks slamed with the big rollers.
