There have been a number of post about cars that members have found, and always there are replies that they should be shared with others,So today I posted pictures of a 52 caddy conv,53 Buick 2dr,and 48 Dodge truck that I found.I put in prices and the guys phone number. The post was deleted, and I was told this should be in the classified section.OK so now I know.So how do you share your finds without giving the location and contact information,I have another place that has about 40 cars and trucks that I looked at last week and the guy said he was Finlay going to sell them,My plan was to take pictures and then post them for everyone.Does this mean I must post all them in the classified section?

Just post them here in the General Discussion forum. State that the cars are not your own's and it will be fine.
Only if you want to sell your own cars, it should be posted in the classifieds, accompanied by a location and price.

just post the pics and say "hey this guy is selling all of these, if you want to know more call him at ***-***-****" and I think that will be fine

I think it's ok to post your car find info. on the Discussion Forum along with descriptions, photos and that they are for sale, but if you want to list specific cars that are for sale and their prices (no matter who owns them) you post them in the Classified.

Nope, for sale items belong in classifieds no matter who is selling them. If you visited a guys garage/shop/barn/field and just wanted to post your adventure, then that belongs here on the main board.

I don't know why it was deleted ... we tend to do a "Heads Up" notifier thread in General Discussion from time to time to let people in a certain area or with deeper pockets know that a neat old car is up for sale to try to keep it in the hot rod community. I mean, if the cars don't belong to you, you're not SUPPOSED to put them in the classifieds.
Maybe it was a wording thing, who knows? Maybe they saw the price of the unrestored ragtop as 35,000 and decided that was a criminal act and should be deleted.

I agree the caddy price was way of base but the 53 Buick had a lot of potential.

Are you the one who lost out on the Hudson because you showed it to everybody?
