I was looking at DRD57's (http://drd57.hypermart.net) website when I found these two roadsters in his photos of the Goodguy's West Coast Nationals:

It looks like the same body but they're obviously two different cars. Does anyone know what they are? Are they reproductions or phantoms or what?

They are hand built bodies by Steve Moal..
The one with the green interior was built for Tim Allen. One of them is Aluminum if not both.
Amazing cars. Tim Allen's is significantly bigger but you can't tell from the pics. They are each unique, hand built cars.

Amazing is right. As soon as I saw them, I fell in love. Thanks for the info.

Moal's own car (red interior) is flathead powered. I think Tim Allen's has a 351 Ford in it. I prefer Steve's for its compact size and better wheels, but they're both bitchin'.

I think the Red interior and the Halibrands look better, but it needs the windshield thats on Allens

I remember watching the construction of Tim Allen's car in one of the magazines. Talk about old world craftsmanship and detail.
I would love to build one like that.

I think he built them around 2000 and they both were in Street Rodder and R&C sometime around that year.
