What's the "best" one to use?
(with-OUT POWER brakes)
About how much do they run?
I've been planning the "disc brake swap" for my 57 for a LOONG time,
But I need to know what dual-master cylinder I should run...
And, as always,
PRICE is a factor

And, on a side note, is $600 a fair price for the set?

Or would I save some $$$ by converting some granada spindles?

77 Mustang II. You really don't need a perportionimg valve unless you are running a big block(heavyier on front end.)
I also have disc brakes.

i'd look at `67 mustang disc/drum master cylinder.i haven't done this, but i'm sure it would almost bolt on....mustangs up to 66 had a fruit jar master cylinder,i'm sure your's has one now. i beleive 67 mustangs came with drums/drums and disc/drum was an option. for disc/drum try napa # 10-1378 if you are gonna use 4-wheel drums.....try napa #10-1488 both are dual master cylinders and are around $30

Non-power? I've heard Maverick manual M/C comes highly recommended. FATMAN FAB. recommends it.
I have MCII w/booster on my 57
$600 isn't bad, saves lots of time running around getting cores or rebuilding old crap Granadas need machine work to fit. Plus if you buy it you'll put 'em on instead procrastinating even longer.
I put a 67 mustang on my 57 ranchero. Bolted it to the existing bolts. Didn't even have to adjust the rod.TP

I used a '67 Mustang non-power unit on my '40 coupe. It cost less than $40. No proportioning valve, firewall mounted,Nova discs on front Chevy drums on back. I used it for 10 years and never had a problem.

It's been awhile but I'm thinking about 30 rebuilt exchange.
That's MC alone not the booster, I don't remember the booster price. The deal was, I bought the MC/booster as an assy. from auto zone. Some time later replaced the MC. Probably would have been better off with all new stuff in the long run.

Good information
I assume this will be the same for my 58 Ranchero when the time comes.

Yep, there's so FEW differences between 57 and 58 ford's,
it's "mentally handicapped"

Used a 68 Torino master on my 54 Merc. It was a bolt on.
