Hello. I'm a 23 year old recent graduate that moved to Iowa for a job with John Deere. I'm looking for some other people in the area that share the same passion I do for hot rods. I am willing to help out anyone who needs a hand since I don't have my own project. I am decently knowledgable about cars and how to work on them and I am looking to learn as much as possible.

Add another welcome to the other. Just 23? Damn, I have socks older than you!! I am sure that you'll find someone, or a club, that will welcome you and any help you can offer. Your help assists him/her/them and, in exchange, you learn more than you know. And, believe me, you will continue learning until they close the lid.
Don't miss the GoodGuys deal in Des Moines July 4th weekend!! Fantastic!!

Hey from Independence, hope you can find a cool project for the summer, but there are quite a few cruise and shows around here. Try to make it to the cedar valley street machine show and pick up their calender of events, last years was like 6 pages

There are a few guys on here from Waterloo/CF and I'm sure a few more from the surrounding area. You'll want to keep your graduating from OSU on the down-low, though; the Hawkeyes over there aren't the brightest bunch.
I'm in Marshalltown.

Welcome Matt from Iowa, lived in Davenport a long time ago and worked for John Deere in Moline, IL - best job I ever had !!!
There is a guy that posts here that is from Bettendorf and I thought I saw someone posting that had his location as the Quad Cities so I'm sure you will find some Hambers in your area in time. Also, the year before last at the HAMB Drags there was a guy racing from Muscatine.

Welcome from North Texas. Wish you lived closer, always looking for help! Keep an eye out for a project, they are still out there and sometimes actually affordable....
