Mike, 58 years old, been lurkin’ for some time. Seems that for several years I would end up here after a Google search on some arcane question. After awhile I figured that maybe some good stuff resided here. So I joined a few months ago. Have been around cars, boats, bikes, planes, for more than fifty years. My dad was an original member of the Hornets, S.C.T.A. of Redlands along with Johnny Vesco, “Multy” Aldrich, and Charles “Scotty “ Scott, (Scotty was from Berdoo, not Redlands but he owned a wrecking yard and of course had better equipment than the rest ). Retired now and trying to put some parts together. Some very good tech. stuff here

39cent,
Thanx, in ‘55 I was attending kindergarten at Boulder Creek Elementary as we spnt ‘52-’56 in the Santa Cruz mountains. I never really knew Scotty, when ever we would go to ” Scotty’s Muffler” he and Dad would b.s. and I would ogle the cool stuff that was everywhere and shoot the breeze with Luke who worked the muffler rack and the parts counter.. Scotty had several locations over the years. Was that the blue and white brick building on “G” or “F” street?

Don,t recall the building, but remember a 50,s Hudson was being dynoed and tuned and the guy said it was putting out more beans than the new 55 Olds that had just been done.
