Hello everyone! I just bought my first Pre-55 project so I feel like I'm one of the cool kids now. I've owned and modified quite a few cars in the last 10 yrs or so. The oldest ones I have had before this was a 78 Trans Am 400/4spd and a 68 Chrysler 300 440/727 Coupe.
I finally found a project for a reasonable price last week though. I purchased a 1952 Styleline Deluxe. I hope to make a semi-traditional rod out of it.
I hope to make some new friends and learn a lot from the veterans on here. I haven't really been out to many car shows or swap meets over the years but I hope to change that. To put it bluntly, I need to get out more.
Thanks for having such a great site for traditional rodding to educate us young, ignorant, and eager to learn rodders.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I am sorry to say my 54 Chevy truck project fell through. The owner ended up having a title that wouldn't exactly work in Ohio. It was titled to the engine instead of the cab as so many were back in the day. The trouble was the engine was long gone. Instead of fighting the DMV we decided not to finalize the transaction. :( I'm actually a bit relieved. The more pictures I received from the owner the worse that truck looked. It looked like an HVAC guy did some cowl and kick panel repairs with ductwork!
Good news though, I am going to be picking up a Styleline deluxe tomorrow and it has a complete running 6 cylinder/ powerglide setup in it for less money and 4 hours closer to home. So I guess it worked out for the best.
I am planning on being at the Springfield, OH swap meet this spring. Hope to see some of you there. If any locals know of any swap meets coming up before then let me know. I am anxious to get started on this project.
