I've been searching on the internet for a place to buy weatherstriping for my car.
I've found this place:
http://www.hamptoncoach.com
They seem to have what I need - or close to it. The extrusions they offer look pretty much the same as what was on the doors to begin with..... tho what's remaining is pretty rotten and very flat, kind of hard to tell what the profile looks like.
The questions I have are:
Is $3.25 - $4.00 a foot a normal price?
Is it absolutely necessarly to find the exact replacement weatherstriping for my car in order to have it function properly? Is there "generic" stuff that works just as good?
Is there any other place - local in So Calif - where I can go and buy this junk rather than play shipping games? Shipping this stuff is adding over $30 to the total price.
I don't imagine that the stuff will come with instructions (maybe it will) - so how does one stick the stuff onto the doors? Silicone? Just lick it and it will stick?
Need a quick response - need to get this resolved before it starts raining... car will leak and this is a bad thing.
