Hello from Cape Town

Hi all,

I'm from Cape Town, South Africa, I've been reading the forums quite a bit and learning a lot.
Last year, my brother & I rebuilt a '36 Ford 3-window Coupe for my Dad as a 70th birthday present (he had one when he was 18), and the bug has bitten me.

While on Xmas holiday up the coast, I bought a '34 Chev master sedan, which I plan on building into a rod, not sure if I'm going to chop it yet, I'll have a better look when it arrives and then decide. Body is good, but the fenders arent great. The Six was recently redone, but I plan on putting in a 350

Hey, Welcome. Only one pic of the '36 Ford . The other seven are the dreaded RED X in a white box. Chevy looks solid for a coast car.

Wow, whats it like finding old cars in South Africa? are they around or imported from the U.S.

Ok, the pics of the coupe above should work now. I edited the post..

It was a problem with sharing in the Picasa web folder or summin.

Docco - you can get quite a few old cars here, its just a case of finding them.
I get my spares from the USA though (Bob Drake for the Ford)

The late 60's & 70's muscle-cars are very popular here, Mustangs, Camaros etc. but I prefer the older 30's cars myself.
