Alright, here we go. My name's Matt, and I was born and raised in Sacramento. I'm 44, married, and have four grown boys. I got the gearhead bug when I scored a ride in my friend's dad's T bucket in 5th grade. I took every auto class in high school, and owned a Camaro at 16. It had a 327 and 4-speed. I was a drag race fan since high school, but never was able to do it, since I started my family really young and didn't have the the necessary cash. Later I did wrench for a roundy-round car team in Street Stock and Modifieds though. That was a hoot, but got too expensive, so I cooled it for a while. Then, I became friends with a guy into the traditional rod and custom scene. I loved it from the start! Now I have a 60 T-Bird. I bagged it and added some personal touches like swede black scallops and shark teeth in the grill. Last year the motor went south, so it's been sitting. My friends stole the motor while my wife and I were on a trip, and later gave it back to me just before Christmas- completely rebuilt! I have great friends!! Now I need to rebuild the Cruise-o-matic and add a wiring kit (the old wires are a mess). I don't have any pics to post yet, but I hope to start posting the progress soon. Thanks for putting up with my rambling post. I'll be seeing you Nor-Cal guys at the traditional shows this year.
