Can't tell if this is an old racer or what, hell the old farmer probably turned it into a forklift or something http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Picture is pretty fuzzy, car is not even listed on the salebill(at least I didn't see it). The sale is Oct 25, at Valley Center, Ks north of Wichita. .

Too bad that it is KCSP weekend. Thanks for the heads-up Pete.

That is a rather creative steering setup.

Man, that frame looks damn long!

Looks like an old dirt track/modified body. Whats the motor? Pontiac maybe?

It's sitting on a truck frame. note the 6 lug wheels.
I would atleast have put one universal joint on that steering shaft. Talk about a javelin through the heart !

Car has center steering so the shaft is still off to the left side. Cant tell for sure but "back in the day" we use to set up center steering with a chain and sprocket afair. Looks like it has the stock universal still in place just in front of the support. If you spent a lot of time at the old bullrings in this part of the country you saw a LOT of unsafe race cars. My first dirt track car had a jumpseat out of an old hearse for a seat. That was in '67.

If anyone from here get's it, and it turns out to be shit, I NEED THAT ROOF!!!
Dad's roadster is a cut-down five window, and this would be the perfect donor....
Please keep me in mind.

Its amazing what we are down to in the way of vintage tin. Not that long ago you wouldn't waste your time hauling that over the scales for scrap. Time marches on!!!

Frank,
I hope we can find something like that (or better) in Michigan. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Talk about PATINA...That thing rocks. Hell move the stearing over to the drivers side and it would even have cowl stearing.

I'll give $500 for that roof (from the belt-line up)...if someone will go to the auction to get it.
