Hi,
my buddy would like to convert his Dynaflow trans to a TH350 or TH700. He has a 1950 Buick with the straight eight. We know where to get the conversion kit, but what you guys recommend to use for a new rear end, what kind of spring (coil or leaf), is there a direct fit driveline from another car? Or is there a way to convert the old rear end to a open drive, so we can use it? The old straight eight runs very good so there is no need to replace it, only the trans.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks

A guy down here used a C4 box behind the straight eight but I think he made his own adapter.Ran a ford rear end and it went really well. I'll try find out some more info if you wish.

Someone posted this site a while ago, I don't know if it will help you or not.
