Looks like a real nice event. The black Cad belongs to Mike Hecker from Hamburg, he visits Custom of Swedens Lead Parkinī as well. That Cad was by the way once a Swedish custom in and in real poor shape after being abused for many years. Mike brought it and restored it to be a real nice one.

3,000 miles round trip in that bad cad? At Euro gas prices? You guys are hard-core. There isn't that kind of dedication here in the States very often it seems. Wow

Yeah, it really was a blast.
wingnutz: If you ever plan a trip o Europe be sure to spend the first week of August in Italy http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Iīll save a cold one for you.
QQMoon: There are really mostly Fiats in Italy, most of the American cars came from Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Blownolds:Mike drives his Cad anywhere. No matter which carshow you attend, youīll certainly meet him. He just doesnīt care about gas prices, I think. I left my 56 at home and drove there in my 62 Impala with 283 and 2bbl carb. It was around 20 mpg at 80-90 mph on the autobahn. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Steve: Here are your pics. Sorry for the shitty quality. I couldnīt find any on the web so I photographed them from a mag.

Rock and fucking roll.
I love you guys and your women are smoking.
In America you can drive 500 miles and not even leave your state.
It would my dream to have my car shipped to Europe and drive all over the place.

Hey Baumi, did Il Bella Di-Waikiki play the show?
They're friggin' awesome, they just played Orlando about three weeks ago.
Baumi
11-05-2004, 03:56 PM
Yeah, they ROCK!! There was a kind of Hawaiian Beach Party!
The concert was directly on the beach I belli di waikiki were wearing tiki costumes and sweating their asses off.
This evening was a very special experience to me... the music, the beach, the girls and the cars... I canīt discribe it.
I went to bed at 8a.m in the morning that day http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Baumi, we played with those crazy Italians at a big Tiki festival in Ft. Lauderdale, they were the greatest bunch of guys. They borrowed my rickety old bass and the singer stood on it as they played. I was scared shitless that it was gonna break into pieces, but it didn't.
When they were here last month they borrowed my bass again. They had bought some cheap Chinese POS that broke into the second day of their tour.
Yeah man, really cool guys.
BTW, one of the few times I've actually cried at a show was when I saw The Comets play in Denver a few years ago. They were so spirited and heartfelt that I just started bawling like a baby. I also cried at VLV 3 years ago when Big Sandy and Vicky Tafoya sang "I will Baby You."
I'm a big sap.
