OK now that I got your attention, I've spoken too a couple of my fellow westcoast comrads and the thought is we could come up with a couple hundred $$$$ for some willing to make the tow (from east of the Rockies) to DRAGFEST http://www.randkdragfest.com/main.php . The only catch is you would have to pass NHRA Tech out here. Randy Winkle (Famoso Speed Shop) has said that if we have enough cars we could have our own class. What do you guys think? What kind of elimination ladder do you guys think would work best? Let's throw some Ideas around!

Rocky.. Don't make them think that they have to pass a REAL NHRA tech.. Basics and just that. New seat belts, (Up to date) Up to date Helmet. And drivers suit..And two roll bars.. I know some of you get away with just the minimum stuff.. We aren't that lucky....Hope someone can make the trek....Dick..

Ha yeah , I don't think I will make it this year,:D only got back from the last trip a couple of months ago and anyway our own Nostalgia drags are April 5-6.
We will begin to build a new HA/GR for my cousin in a couple of days with the aim of her being there in April to race . We have been waiting to pick up her spare Rambler motor , got that over Xmas and with the other gathered parts can begin as soon as the steel supplier opens this week.

Howdy all,
For those unaware, Randy and his Dragfests were the first to give us a venue to run at out here. We'll be supporting him as best we might.
Butch and his ANRA meets gave us our first show & tell opportunities and our second venue. We'll be supporting him as well.

I have to plan my racing for the whole year. I only have $1100.00 saved to race with. I can't use more because there ain't no more. I went through all my 1958 Chev money last year. I sat down and figured on going to Bakersfield because I haven't been there since 1964. Even with the $200 you guys give I would be out of money by August. It costs with trip gas and entry right at $150 dollars to run each time at Tulsa. So unless these LOttery tickets are lucky I can't see how I can make it. Hell they gave Garlits $5000.00 to come to Bakersfield in 1959.:D Roy
