I didn't think the Ardun heads had the spark plug holes evenly spaced like that. I thought they were:

Yeah, just looking at the pics in the egay auction is enough to make someone pass on these. Looks like some high school kid's shop project... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The same guy is selling E&J repops and Thicksten air cleaners. I am tempted to get an air cleaner but how bad is the casting?

Aren't these head covers a repop of the ones sold in Nu Zealand???
They are on a 23 T featured in Oz and Us mags a few years ago. Can't remember who originaly manufactured them, any one help?

I see the guy references the "Ardun look", but I think these are a copy of the old Champion head covers. Not intended to "look like" anything, rather to just dress up stock heads....
Not quite the same as fake hemi valve covers for your chevy...

I think youre right flat ernie, saw a set at a swap couple of weeks ago, really poor castings, guy said they were accesory 'marine' covers??
I've watched some of the guy's other auctions before, and he said that his stuff comes from Mexico. It's usually something aluminum, and he's vague on the description. He must have someone down there repoping old hotrod parts. He always says he doesn't know if he can get any more...blah,blah,blah.
I can't see anything that holds them on. Luck?Permatex? Ah yes, it's the spark plug boots!!!
More POSER/superficial/accessory to the ensemble.....Bullshit http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
