Greetings Fellow Car Nuts: My name is Chris Baum and I'm lucky enough to live and work in the greatest city in the world for high performace, classic and custom car buffs: Detroit, Michigan. Not only do we have incredible automotive museums, world class races and year 'round cruises and shows: where else can you drive to work and look over to see 2012 vehicles clad in camo tooling alongside you?
My latest build is "The D-Rod": a classic Deuce with a 525 horsepower new 392 c.i. Hemi, built to showcase the best of the old and the best of the new from the Motor City. Check out the February 2008 issue of STREET RODDER and the June 2008 CAR & DRIVER for features on this mean machine, which goes (0-60 in 3.9 seconds, fully instrumented at the Chrysler Proving Grounds by C&D... smoking those wide whitewall B.F. Goodrich Mud & Snow tires the whole way!) as well as it looks.
Gotta run and wrap some Christmas presents for the kiddies. More to come...
