View Full Version : So how many are you expecting at the Drags in Austin?

Have been hearing a lot of rumblings about the Drags from guys who are not really in the know. Guys I would never expect would make a traditional run.

Is someone advertising the event? The HAMB is the only place I have seen anything on it.

Don't know how many cars we will have. There will be a lot that don't run, I'm sure. Hopefully, the people that have cars there will see it's just for fun, and cruise down the track.

As usual, the HAMB is our only "real" advertising. And word of mouth and passing out flyers. Don't underestimate the power of the HAMB. As always, thanks to Ryan for this forum.

I think it may double in size just from hearing the scuttlebutt around town.

Wouldn't suprise me if we had 100 or so cars and about half of them ran down the track.

There are a couple of projects at Aces and Eights that may make it for the drags. One of 'em could be pretty quick.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate. What's tyhe weather usually like down in Austin in Nov?

It's uusually pretty mild here. I figure it should be close to the same.

Weather could be sunny and 90, cloudy and 55 or anywhere in between.
Let's hope for the sunny and 75 mark.

I invited my dad and some of his 4 banger buddies. They love hoppin up those little 4 cylinders. Things won't go over 80, but pop the clutch at it'll rip your neck off.

Expecting?
Well for one thing I live in Florida.
For another I've been taking my birth control pills daily.
And lastly I'm a dude, I don't think I'll be expecting any time soon, unless there's a breakthrough medical procedure.
