first off, i have no oldie to wrench on right now..why you ask. because i am currently deployed to al asad, iraq with regimental combat team-5. with is lead by the mighty 5th Marine Regiment, the most decorated unit in the USMC.
we are coming to an end of a 13 month tour and i can not wait to get back to my 1950 chevy deluxe!
i have been on e-bay and craigslist buying parts and having my old lady put them nice and neat on my work bench in the garage.
we will get a 30 day leave period (vacation) once we get back, and i plan on spending at least 80% of it on the fifty...
i may post questions to all of you out there from time to time, as from what i have seen so far, there are some very, very talented people in this community.
we have a DOD wide ban on USB ports, so that means no pictures to post, but once i get back i will put some up of what i have done so far.
the fifty has been media-blasted, primerd, inner/outer rockers replaced, smooth firewall, all floor panels have also been replaced. we have body dropped it 4"-5", i have a mustang II w/bags, and a camaro rear end w/bags yet to be installed.
power windows, shaved door handles/trunk/emblems, 56 olds headlight rings, 53 chrysler tail lights.
wide whites and hubcaps...
sounds good, but that is what the end state will be.

Thanks to all of you for your support of ALL service memebrs that are foward deployed in harm's way.
Question for everyone, if I provide names and addresses would you be willing to put a flat rate box together ($10) and mail out some car, truck, motorcycle magazines?
If this is something that you would be willing to do, shoot me a PM and I'll send you a name and address of a U.S. Marine deployed to Afganistan.
