Like any of my projects, registering with the HAMB took me too long to get done. I found this board in May. I look forward to absorbing as much information as possible and providing info where i can.
I am an aircraft mechanic in the USAF with over ten years of experience on 8 airframes. My primary job is to t-shoot and repair fuel systems but i know enough about the other systems to be useful when needed. My automotive repair knowledge is the same way. I can do (and have done) the basics and major component replacement, but i typically leave internal rebuilding jobs to professionals that have the correct tools and experience. Some might ask(have asked) "Why not buy the tools and get the experience yourself?" My answer is that i have a serious lack of time and i try to keep my tool collection streamlined to five hand-carry toolboxes. When i get out i can amass a collection of tools and experience with all the time i will have when i am done helping to hunt down and destroy Americas enemies.
I look forward to being an FNG again.
