A few of us western Mass. hotrodders got together with some eastern NY state rodders for a picnic today. The foliage and ride from Mass. to Wynantskill ,NY was pretty neat and so were the cars.
Here's my '34 parked with some of the others who were there chowing down on chickens wings, beer and sausage & peppers.

Rick is building this shoebox NASCAR style. He built his own tube frame and when he put the body back on ,it was too narrow so since he was in the process of chopping it anyway,he cut the body down the middle and added two inches to the center.

How was the run in RI ,Dennis? I'm glad we got this ride and picnic in on Sat. because Sunday turned cool and cloudy up here.Oh, great pix from the CSR show, too.
BTW,that white '49 conv.in the pix has the original flathead with Edmunds heads and an Edlebrock slingshot manifold.

The RI show was great Glenn. They had a real full lot with 289 cars. As you can see from my other posts we were busy doing the forced march of Hershey Friday and Saturdy. Gotta really hustle to see the Whit/Choclate/Red/Blue/Car coral and show fields in two days. So RI was a chance to relax and try ro keep from falling asleep:)
It was clowdy in the AM and even sprinkled very lightly before the sun came out.
Guess I need to get those pics posted too http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
BTW (SPAM alert!) If your shoebox buddy needs some Edmunds air cleaners I make the round and the oval ones http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
