OK thanks. I was hoping for aluminum. Have you ever seen the knobs made to look like Norm Garbowski's head? Very strange; weirdness abounds. I like it.

If I had the shit to cast metal I'd be all over it. In the tech sectiom someone shows how to do it cheap. As far as the Grabowski skulls I think there alright personaly I like my skulls realistic or completley cartoon like my day of the dead ones. I'm not downing Norm hes a talented man just my opinion on skulls in general.

I saw an article in a cycle mag years ago that showed a smelter made from a coffee can with charcoal brickettes and blow air from a shop vacuum. All you needed was a large ladle used for casting to melt the aluminun in and pour from, and some casting sand. You can use beer cans for material. I've been meaning to experiment with this method but haven't got to it. I missed out on a ladle in the local antique store but I'll find another.

One process is called the "lost wax" method. I would have to read up on it for a precise answer, but it basically involves making the part out of wax, imbedding it in casting sand with some vents, and pouring the molten metal in the hole. The wax disappears and is replaced with aluminum. The cycle mag article I read was at least 35 years ago and I don't remember which mag it was.

OK...You know I have to have some!!! Very cool man!

Flt-Blk gave me a demo one time using resin casts. He was floating a single poker chip from Viva in a clear resin cast for a shift knob. Turned out cool man.

Let me know what your gonna have to have for a few of them.
