I just got back from my first Hunnert Car Pileup event and man was it fun! Me and a buddy got there early and stayed till about three. There were live bands, and lots of cool rides. Here are a few of my favorites. I'm just guessing, but there were probably a couple hunnert cars there.

No digital pics of my truck. it sits in storage in Mo as of right now. I will take some digital ones over thanksgiving . Mine is a stepside, small back glass, but it's layin' on the ground!

i thought the show was great, and there were plenty of cars to look at, but i was hoping for a little bigger swap area, unless i just missed it. I did come away with a really trick vintage napkin holder!

This was also my first Pile Up...and I will never miss another.I have never been to another show that had so much variety and so few lawn chairs, lol.Everyone was having a good time...quite different to some of the other sanctioned events I have been to.I heard there were almost 600 vehicles in attendance, the food was cheap, lots of cool stuff for sale too.Only nit picking I could do was the length of time it took to get in.We were there at 9:30 and rolled through the gate a little after 11:00...that was tough to deal with.Overall a helluva good time!!!

Levi, it was great seeing you again this weekend. Enjoyed your company. Looking forward to seeing you, and your painted bike, in March. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

there wasn't much of a swap area because everyone drove their cars there and there isn't much room for hauling to and fro in a hot rod!

sorry about the long line to get in, but just try *inspecting* and getting entrance fees from that many cars in that short of a time! I think we did pretty good, especially since we had probably 600-700 traditional rods and customs! the show has more than doubled EVERY year. We never know what to expect!

There was a shop tour? When? Dammit, I have been dying to do that. How far away from Morris is Manteno?

Son of a bitch.

I love that black '39.

That would have been a cool HAMber side trip to get a shop tour. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Missed your intro, but heard you were on here now. Welcome. Just wanted to let you know how much I (along with everyone else) enjoyed the '32, awesome work, and really looking forward to seeing your fabrication skills in the future.

Man, Moose's car is bitchin. I didn't know it was done. When I saw him last, he made it sound like it was a "I'm gonna fix it up someday" type project. That's a kool ride.

Thanx for posting the pics.
