back to top, back to the top-it moves your post back to the top of the list. Use it sparingly.

It's suppose to mean "back to the top" but you'll see it in places where that makes no sense. I just saw it today in a post that made absolutely no sense to "go back to the top" .. Who knows?

No, somebody just felt it was a good idea to bump the thread to the top.

The 2 times I know that you don't have to use it sparingly is when a Hamber's car is stolen and we as a group want to keep it fresh and at the top of the list and also when a Hamber is broke down and needs help, we as a group keep it close to the top until someone local sees it that can help.
If you are talking classified then I believe there is a 3 day bump rule. You can bump it once every 3 days.
Also if it's a time sensitive thing like an event that is happening this coming weekend, it will get bumped up a few times.
As soon as I find it , I'm going to bttt(Back to the top) about a guy looking for his dad's old drag car ( Jolly Green Giant). I haven't seen the thread in about a month and I'm curious about if any new info came about.
