I saw a cool skull shift knob and the skull had a leather flight cap and googles like a WWI pilot, who has those or sells them?

Is it all metal?
It would be super kewl if the skull was chrome and the cap was actual leather with little buckles. And little rubber goggles http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Jeez i've got too many ideas and too much time on my hands at work...

It was painted and seemed to be made of the same resin or whatever most of them are...I wanted to get a better look at it and forgot to look...Im stupid like that. It was really cool looking though. I would love to have one.

I think McPail could do something like it and make it cooler, or maybe those guys that do the screaming German helmet skull.

You should try what you are talking about with a real leather car...that would be cool.

I saw it at goodguys and it was BAD! It was one of the coolest shift knobs I had ever seen. I have no idea if it was a one off custom or what.

White skull, big evil look, green flight cap like snoopy with googles up on the head and not over the eyes. Very cool.

I have asked this a hundred times and noone ever replies (guess that's why I call myself the Pro. Post Killer), but what kind of resin do you use when you make knobs and can you get it in clears/tints/colors? And where do you get the resin from?

A local (friend) told me he knows where I can get the mold making stuff, I just don't know anything about the resins and how they are used, etc...

...let's see if this falls as dead as the rest have.

Broman, guys wanna keep that stuff to themselves. Especially if that is what puts food on the table. I have asked myself and that is pretty much the answer I got as well.

Broman, I looked on Google ,eGay and Mother for an hour and I couldn't find anything. The guy must not be online?

My best suggestion is to make one out of a hardwood like maple.

I'll keep my eye out though.

http://users.lmi.net/~drewid/resin_faq.html

This FAQ seems to have enough info to get a guy pointed in the right direction on resin casting.

It couldn't be too much of a secret squirrel thing, almost all of the big craft stores sell basic resin casting supplies. It's not industrial grade stuff, but it's probably good enough to try it a few times to see how the process works.

I believe the card I got at GG in KC was Gear Drive Speed and Custom Specialties. online_parts@hotmail.com

After getting home , I think this is the guy. He told me $60.00 will get you any color helmet, custom ordered.

Check it out, Tommy Mc
