what motor mounts do i need??

What kind of mounts would i need to put a 302 or 289 in a 62 comet? Would i also need a new tranny cross member? And what rear end would fit nicely in it? Would a s10 rear work good? What other stuff would i need? Thanks Nate

The 221 small block came about in 62...so likely a set of factory mounts for a 221 powered Falcon would do ya right...and I'm fairly sure that 63-64 Comet/Falcon V8 mounts can fit the task as well.

A Maverick rear axle would be a good fit...try to nab an 8-inch from a V8 car.

Granadas, early Mustangs, and 66-70 Fairlane/Montego/Cougar/Cyclone types may be other good axle donor choices for ya.
