ok the regular price is gonna be 150 set. looks like i'm gettin good response so far. if i order more than 12 sets i can get a cut and will gladly pass it along. i talked to the guy an hour ago that makes 'em and he's got 12 sets right now but was headed to a show this weekend to sell. said he usually sells a coupla sets per show. basiclly he may have to make more but if everything goes together for a 12 order i'll tell him to ship me what he has and send mine later as i don't need 'em yet anyhow.
i really didn't think i could get a 12 order together so i wasn't prepared for this but i will do everything i can even if i have to do two seperate 6 orders to get everyone done. thanks for all the support on this as i'm jumping in and spending money i don't have to become a dealer just because i see there's a demand. i plan to keep a coupla sets on hand at all times for future use after this first pop.
everyone that has responded at this point check you pm's shortly. and whoever it was that gave me the # to call i'm callin' ya now first. thanks again to everyone i hope i can get everyone set up that has been wantin 'em. i can tell you as far as quality the restores in the LINCOLN CLUB OF AMERICA to him his were nicer than original and they all buy from him. i've me a few of those guys thru time and they don't just say those things...ken....

hatch, check my register date. i remember the whole inya thing and i ain't fucking him!!!! i've been here a while and have had good dealing with alot of hambers so check the back ground before you shoot of at the keyboard like that. i'm just trying to help out as there's been a good bit of interest in recent for the buttons. ask anyone thats dealt with me if anything i usually screw myself in a deal because i am not greedy. maybe a should be but i'm not. that really fucking sucks of you to do some shit like that and if that the attitude here i can pull this deal and just arder myself some for my car and leave it be. opinions are like assholes and everybodys got one i guess. but you should pay attention to hows been around and hasn't. no i don't have 20000000 post because if i can't be helpful i usually keep to myself. here and in life in general. maybe something you should consider before you attack a person character that you know nothing about...ken....

Can you mount those anywhere with in reason? Like at the bottom of a door? I guess i'm pokin at, how do they hook up??

ok i think i'm caught up with the pm's to everyone.
flat shoe the best i can describe is it's a plunger type system just like normal door handles only no handle. i'm sure if you wanted to get creative you could run a rod dowm to the buttom from the release lever on you latch. i've done moe complex things in my day...ken....

Luckystiff-aren't they mainly meant to fit where the pushbutton on a regular door handle is-THUS they are just able to push straight INWARDS to actuate the stock door latch in your car you want them on?
By this I mean I dont think[correct me anywhere ya like]-they have any provision for remote mounting [with a lever] to actuate the latch any other place VIA linkage- but ONLY directly where the old stock door button resided?
sorry if confusing http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

choprods,
yeah it would be a challenge for sure to do 'em in the bottom of the doors. i think with a little thinkin' feller time it could be done but it would be hard still. i've done some pretty tricky stuff and that would probably top the list. on my '55 plymouth. i took the push button part of the door handle out of the handle drilled a spot in the beltline trim on the door(above the handle) with a smaller hole for the rod from the button to go thru. made a bracket to raise the bracket that normally gets pushed up to where it now meets the new location. therefor the door button is now hidden in the beltline trim and unless i tell you or you look the car over reeeaaalll good you don't see it at all. i still need to take a small piece of stainless tube and create a housing around the button in the trim which will be the most pain in the ass part to me but it is something you don't see. and all that on a more door to haha. i've been known for my thinkin feller abilities since i started working in shops at 14. i've devised lots of weird entry set ups i got to experiment on all the lowrider cars and minitrucks i did when i was in highschool and just after. i've done a few where i did a fancy lock cylinder hooked to the door handle rod and you used the key to turn the cylinder to get in.funny i got to play with all that stuff so much but have only taken part in one chop and watched a few. i guess we all have our thing. i want to chop a car and had considered chopping the plymouth mentioned above i'm building for my wife just wish i had someone near me to help when i get stuff esp since it's a more door. which i guess could be taken care of in the process. but back to the point you made yes it would be hard and alot of work but i do think it could be done if you really wanted to. hell i think if a person really has the drive anything is possible...ken....

update!!!!! i am one sold set away from ordering 6 sets. i have one confirm and an order for 2 sets with a check in the mail. i can hold til monday on ordering but the sooner i order the sooner i get 'em which means the sooner you get 'em. if it's 2 seperate orders the second set will probably be 3-4 weeks out. i want to get 'em to everyone that wants 'em so if i've got confirmation for 6 or 12 an order will be made monday at the latest. i know he has 6 sets for me so thats not a problem. if he has to have more made there may be a week or so delay on the others but not long. thanks to everyone who has responded NICELY...ken....

luckystiff, is a "set" defined as a pair - i.e. for two doors ?? If it's $150 for two doors, count me in.....

that's looks awesome on that buick, what are the lock cylinders from? They really set off the push buttons, I'd like to find out more about them to go with some pushbuttons.
$150 a pair is correct Tagman....
SB327,
The locks are more than likely stock 55 buick's.
I have a '57 chevy, and it has the same one's..
Shouldn't be too hard to find a set to match the button's.
I wish i had the money for some of them Linc botton's too..but i don't and i have nothing to use them on..at least right now. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

hmmm....have to see about that. Maybe someone sells repops of those too, getting an old set and having the locksmith make keys could get expensive. I was wondering how I could use the pushbuttons and not have my locks look like damnit, now I have a plan!

I took a look at my '55 Buick just to make sure and the lock cylinder in the magazine pics is identical - stock '55 Buick.

Stupid question, I guess they are mechanical? I don't suppose anyone repops the Inside buttons that lincoln's had to match?
TagMan

Yes, they're mechanical. Push 'em in and spring actuated return.
I don't know of anyone reproducing the inside buttons.
