Well, I'm not English... My bloodline goes back to Germany.
I bet, other than the actual Hambers from England, you won't find too many with an English bloodline. After our war of Independence back in '76 we stopped having sexual relations with the English. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Got any pics of this car you want to chop and channel, paint flat black and put wide whites on?? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'd say yours would look the best as a gasser.
At least its not an imported complete American car....
Oh oh.... I couldn't help myself... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Petejoe, there was just such a gasser in the UK back in the early eighties. If my very young memory serves me correct it was called "No more Mr Nice Guy". I seem to remember that it was two-door'd, gloss grey in colour and ran an eight that was possibly blown, though I may be mistaken with that last bit. I'm sure an older UK rodder will have a photo somewhere.
There aren't too many of them around as they had a tendency to rot away faster than most. Nice looking car though.

i had a series one victor for a while and they are real real kool and rare now ,with a nice big v8 motor and slammed a little that would have some real attitude. On another note i work at the ibc factory that was vauxhall where they were made and some of the older guys tell stories of when they first saw one .One old guy thought it was a concept car as we had nevever seen anything like them at the time......Marq

Most of the old Vauxhall's from that era are now a pile of brown dust.

This is the one. Courtesy of Scottie on the UK NSRA site.
Build a *sleeper.
Not sure what kind of engine it has, but more than likely you could slip some strong running wonder in it and surprise a few.
*Sleeper = grand old American tradition - and I'd bet a few other places as well - stock appearing car with killer engine (that in most cases has a mild cam and sounds stock), better brakes and at times a better suspension.
I've had a couple, they're a lotta fun. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yes BigDdy31, we English have all heard of Nor-Aid, the American Irish who fund the IRA terrorists to blow up English places and murder English people http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Makes me wonder when the US government are gonna start looking in their OWN back garden in their hunt for supporters of terrorism.

Ah now don't get excited Morris. It's just a bit of craic. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif You all have certainly given as good as you've gotten. I'm sure you and I both think it's time everybody picked up their toys and returned to their original homes.

Now, now. I happen to know some blokes from this little outfit called the SAS who tell some awfully interesting tales about what they did in Ireland...there's blood on the hands of both sides.
The rumours of US support to the IRA are greatly exaggerated. I'm not saying there isn't US support, I'm just saying folks in the UK don't understand why "IRA" is on lots of US folks' pay slips - over here it means Individual Retirement Account and is a means of savings - very similar to an ISA in the UK. Lots of tempers have flared & feelings been hurt along with gross exaggeration of US support over this one simple difference in language!
Another example: I was wearing my Florida State shirt that had just an F superimposed over an S & was threatened with bodily harm because someone thought I was a Sinn Fein supporter!
Tempers flare & emotions run hot whenever there are passionate beliefs that have been elevated to the blood letting stage. It reaches a point where there no longer is any reason - we're not immune from it in the US; ever hear of the Hatfields & McCoys? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Getting back to topic - I've not seen a 2-dr Vauxhall before. In fact, you don't see many 2-dr anythings over here. Was the 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' gasser & custom conversion to 2-dr?

Not sure about "onkels", but I have seen "cankles" - that's where there is no ankle, the calf just goes down to the foot! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif A common affliction here in the fens! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm sure that this one was two-door'd by the owner/builder. I have vague recollections of buying that mag and being very impressed by the write-up about the build.
