There was a guy selling the reproductions too. I guess they were repros. (He had several sets.) As I walked by they were bagging a set up so I guess he sold a set.
That's one thing about Hershey, you get to rub elbows with the high rollers. I saw a guy pay 5 grand for a gas pump. He whipped out his check book. Must have been a good repeat customer cause the vendor never flinched or even ask for I.D. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

The guy with the $26K Ardun setup had quite a bit of rare flathead speed equipment. I didn't look too closely at much of it, cause by that point I was at the brink of collapse.
The guy with the $15K set (or maybe it was just close to his spot, my memories of late afternoon at Hershey are a bit fuzzy) had a bunch of 4-banger stuff. More OHV conversions than I have ever seen in one place.
If you can't find it at Hershey, it doesn't exist.

I saw the ultimate conspicuous consumption...a 300,000$ motor lodge towing a run around car behind it....A Hummer!

Must be nice to have those options... all we get around here are cast iron stockers! Not that I could afford either of those, but it would be nice to look at them.

I saw those heads too. I saw 3 sets of Ardun's there today. I was really digging the Edmunds finned aluminum straight 8 Packard head for $1200. When I first saw it I thought it was fro my Poncho but no luck.
Did score some kool stuff though.

The $26,000 set were being sold by Ron SanGiovanni from Connecticut for his son. They are a complete NOS set. You have all seen Ron's car (or at least pics of it.) It's the blue 32 hiboy with the SCOT blown Ardun.
The three sets were being sold by George Applezon from Austin Tx for $16, 17 and 19,000. He had picked them up over the years and was selling them and other things off to help with medical bills. When I talked to George Saturday noonish he was waiting for a guy to come back with a deposit on one set.
