Well...guess I never did my intro. I know some of you can't live without them, so here it be. Been lurking on the message board for quite a long time. Didn't start participating till HAMB drags of this year. Had a blast by the way. Didn't realize how great this place was till I met some of you.
Anyways, I am in the Tulsa, OK area and have lived here most my life. Been into drag racing, hot rodding and street rods pretty much my whole life ( I am 33 if that matters).
I have a '55 Chevy I have had for around 15 years. It is in the midst of getting a new drive train. It will be a '60's mild gasser theme (Two Lane Blacktop inspired). I also have a basket case '26 T Coupe that I just got this summer and am hoping to pop it's cherry at HAMB Drags '05.
For almost 2 years I have been running my own car site which is just pretty much anything about Hot Rodding. Here is the link if you are interested.

Other than that I don't know what you wanna know. Here is an old pic of my '55.

Here is my turd T Coupe. Picture makes it look better than it is. The doors are crap. One is rust pitted beyond belief and the other looks like a dump trauck ran over it ( maybe more than once).

Well Mr. DuckCrap, I have seen your other posts.
I have to tell you my 55 story.
I had a Bel Aire tudor sedan the same color combo as yours
bought it in 68, drove it everywhere, and sold it, after discovering the pistons were cracked, to a salvage company for $12.00 dollars in 1967.
Back then, we had no idea the prices were going to be as crazy as they are now.
Nice car, looks like it is going to get nicer.

My dad worked at a car crushing outfit about that same time, '67. His boss came in and said, "give me ten dollars". He said okay, handed him the ten, and the boss said, "you just bought that Chevy". He pointed to the powder blue/white top '57 BelAir convertible at the corner of the lot. Apparently the rear had locked up, so the guy sold it for scrap.
Dad apparently wasn't paying much attention when later that day the forklift operator grabbed his new '57 and stuck it in the crusher. By the time he actually looked up, he saw the fins and continental kit go into the jaws. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Easy come, easy go I guess. Just wanted to make some of you sick with that story. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Good to have you here, Mr Crapus. Nice '55.

Who the hell are you?
I live in Verdigris, that's about as middle of Tulsa to Claremore as it gets and I have beer in my fridge too.
Now you just need to figure out which shop! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I am actually closer to Verdigris than Claremore. I am in the North West corner of where Hwy 266 and Rt. 66 intersect.
PM me and I will make sure I am here when you stop by.

Oh shit man.
That makes three HAMBers in that area.
SCARY!
I live off 66 and NS 411, across from the double-wide trailer looking bank with the Vegas looking sign. Aim for the water tower.

Welcome Abroad (I typed that on purpose) Dude! I've been to your site, I like it. I don't believe we have ever met. Did you go to Shawn Howard's DT show? You'll have to forgive us, we usually hang with our core group because we're really lazy. We don't get out much. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I like the five five, is it hoodless on purpose? Either way....kool.

Hey thanks for diggin' the site. It is a great time waster for sure.
Rev. I ran without a hood just to look a little different and show off my crappy cross ram. But amazingly the car did run cooler without it.
I am putting a glass tilt front end on it. I got it from KingHag's dad. I was going to straight axle it, but am hooked on some of those old Genuine Suspension ball joint spacers.
I did go to Shawn's show, but only paid my respects, took some photos and left. Even though the event was a downer, the auction was pretty entertaining.

Well, thanx for staying at the auction. I'm still pissed off about the socialites at the bar not coming over to pay respects or bid on stuff to raise money.

That whole situation is just screwed up. Being friends with Douger and Sexton, I kinda knew the "real" story that went down. I was pretty bitter about what a bunch of people did or didn't do.
Shawn was a nice guy and deserved better respects.
Sorry....don't want to get on that deal again. I wanted to bid on some stuff, but I was practically pennyless when I went. I didn't know they were going to have an auction till I was there.
