info on 1928 chev head install on 28-34 Ford

Has any one installed the 28 chev head on a Model A-B Ford engine, with success ? I'm thinking of buying the jerns conv. Tell me the BAD stuff. What wonders me is the aluminum adpt. plate holding 2 gaskets ?
