I am just buttoning up my Touring and already am looking to the future. Well, after I build my new house anyway. I had this idea that started with a Weesner thumbnail in TRJ of a cool Model A PU. I put the call out to the HAMB artists and got a couple responses. Drewfus is the first one to send me a finished product.

Track nosed 6 banger PU. Got the motor and Cab already. Plans would be for a T5 5speed and a scratchbilt frame like my Touring.

BTW, Drewfus' skills are for hire, he will treat you right. Sorry for the quality of the pic, the orig. piece rocks!

"T" : I like what he has came up with.

How are you going to keep the snow and rain out of the carbs?

I should also mention that Drewfus went off a simple desciption I gave him with a few key design parameters and NAILED what I was looking for on his first try!!!!

FWIW, he is a million miles away in Australia, the HAMB is an amazing place for things like this to happen.

Thank you VERY MUCH Drewfus, it will be a while til I start this one in earnest but I plan to tear the cab apart into its components and start restoring the tin this winter. I can do the labor and not spend real money since we are getting ready to do our house next summer. And to think Carla expected me to be home more when the Touring was done? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Tman I like it! I have a six I'm thinking of using for a future project.

70 in January in SD? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am not kidding about the weather. at least in Rapid City. We are sheltered by the Black Hills and routinely get 60s and 70s all through the winter. It might be 10 degrees one day and 69 the next but we do get mild weather. But honestly, it sucks here, dont even consider moving to this hell-hole http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks really cool Trent, but everybody knows that the Friday art show doesn't start until Thursday. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
I'm still planning on being in Rapid City for xmas.

Sean, I wanted to put it in the Friday art show but felt Drewfus' work deserved its own post.

Tman,
Great looking concept. Dig the inline 6. It is fresh. Will look totally wicked with the sidedrafts you have sketched in there.
I have a good buddy who lives in Rapid. Jesse Jurrens, owns Legend Air Suspension. He has a couple of cool rod projects as well. We stay in Rapid with Shauna and Jesse every year for Sturgis Bike Week. I am always scouting when I am up there riding. Lot of iron out there for sure. ANd you are right...WINTERS ARE ROUGH up there....COOOOOOOOL...But of course I am from AZ and 60 is a chill factor. Look forward to your ride.

Well pale, you and I crossed paths. I happen to know Jesse as well. Were you at his car/bike show this year? He is good shit, his Galaxie looks good bagged. I happen to do a HAMB bike/hotrod event the first weekend of the rally. You ae welcome to attend next year!?

Yeah the Galaxy is sweet. Yup, I was at the show. I was one of the judges. I had my bike up there as well. I did remember seeing a couple rods cruising up the road by his shop that day. It was a great year for the rally and will definitely make a note of your event. I will get more info as we approach the rally next year.

Tell Jesse I said hey..
