I'm advised that I posted my question on my 32 Ford engine issue incorrectly and that this forum was for intro only, so here we go.
Cut my teeth in early the early 60's when Tasca Ford in E. Providence RI was running their Fairlane 500 Thunderbolt with Bill Lawton driving. Before that, I was building and destroying "flatties" - I mean, what does a 14 year old kid know. Anyway, through my brother-in-law, I met a former Tasca mechanic, Jimmy King, who had purchased a West Coast twin engine show dragster from the Gamino Brothers. Jimmy converted it to a single engine and ran the old Southern New England Timing Association circuit where he became known a "Wheelstand King" because of his habit of running the 1320 on the rear two. He ofter made a solo pass for obvious reasons. I was hooked. A stint in the Mechant Marine Academy and the subsequent time at sea limited my involvement until I got a new 69 Firebird 400 which I built into my first street beast.
Been busting knuckles since but this 327 valve thing has got me stumped simply because I bought the car finished and have no knowledge of the cam specs but my gut tells me that it just might be a Duntov of 65 vintage. The guy who sold it to me doesn't know either
