A buddy of mine has a 235??? out of a 67 Chevy II. It only has 45,000 miles on it.Its taking up valuable garage space and he wants it gone. Free.
He is in Tinley Park, Il which is in rather close proximity to the Pileup...
I might end up taking it... someone will need this sooner or later!!!

Wouldn't it be a 230, I remember my old van had a 230 which I replaced with a 250. Both Good Motors.

The Chevy IIs got "late model" 6s, the 194, 230, and 250, which are nothing at all like the good old stovebolt 235.
Sounds like a good deal for someone!

Hence the questionmark when I put the size. This is a friend of the guy who bought it for the glide tranny.
Anyways... late sixties era inline 6 cylinder motor. Free to a good home.

i too have a 6 that needs to be out of my sight, and I'm pretty sure it's a 235. It's in that crusty 40-something chevy truck I bought, the stock motor was yanked sometime in the past and this one put in, junk man said it ran 4-5 years ago and it aint' stuck.....

"IS THIS MOTOR COMPATIBLE W/ AN EARLY STOVEBOLT "ENGINE BAY"??"
It's smaller than the earlier engines, so yes, you can swap it into the earlier cars (with some work)...there's a guy in town (just moved down from Washinton st) with a 250 in a 52 car, has split pipes, etc.

Langdon's Stovebolt Co. should be able to hook you up with the mounts to put the newer six in an older Chevy. 586-739-9601
