Hello. I'm new to the neighborhood. Looking to make some new auto-hobby friends.
I'm just a hobbiest and drive what I build. One of my recent creations comes from my early model car days. In 1960 I built the Monogram kit called "The Black widow." I built Black Widow 2 (http://www.black-widow-2.com) based on that kit. It's not an exact duplicate, as will be shown at the 2009 GNRS, built by Troy at Hollywood Hot Rods, thus the "2" after the name. It's a driver that was campaigned in 2006, ending up in Street Rodder in May/2007. Photos of the build and the showing and all the subsequent adventures are at www.black-widow-2.com (http://www.black-widow-2.com) if you'd like to spend some time.
I'll stop here only to say that I am in the process of planning another tribute with a model car and real car history and I have a lot of questions. Again, I build for myself and I am not wealthy. It's the hobby I've enjoyed on many levels for a very long time.
