Hey everyone,
New from Aurora, Colorado. My interests range from and starting with mid 60's Hot Rods then to Mid 50's Drag cars. I've built a few 40's cars for other folks, then went through the 30's street rods, mostly chevys a few dodges and a studebaker coupe. I'm now in the process of building a 1928 Chevy National Sedan 2 door that was completely blown apart by someone else. All the steel panels were good but the wood was lost. So I reinforced it all with a steel substructure. I decided it would look good as a sedan delivery, so I converted it. I also gave it a 2-3/8" chop. and made a rear door as well. I don't think chevy made one, so I might as well be different. Have a look.
Thanks,
John

Well by request (7"chop & Primer 31 ) here is a pic of the "Yorkster" that me and my son-in-law built in my garage the past year and a half. He'd been wanting a roadster for awhile, so here's the idea we came up with. Had a 38' dodge p/u cab hood and grille shell, mated it with a narrowed 56' chrysler new yorker back half and set it on top of a 38 ford modified frame. Then we shoehorned a 354 hemi in it, and backed it with a 9" lincoln versailles rear end. Front is a super bell 4" dropped axle with hairpins and vega steering box. I'll let son-in-law, Chad tell you more about it and post more pics, when he joins up as well. So here's a peek at the "Yorkster".

If I told you once I told you twice this is not an essex. well come to think of it it does look a little like one. not that its a bad thing, just like in cosmetic surgery if you go to far some times you end up looking like michael jackson. same thing happens with cars you start out with a chevy and end up with an essex you have gone too far...John
