Who was making pickup trucks in the immediate postwar era (say '46 to '54)? Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge, International... Did I leave anyone else out? I've decided I need a truck, since I can't justify building a car.

Willys Overland (later Jeep)
Actually, Ford and Chevrolet (others?) began civilian sales immediately after V.E. in 1945 and sold their vehicles as 1945 models until they "introduced" their 1946 passenger models.
I have a 1945 Ford that falls into the above category.
