I'm almost positive that there isn't any difference in '31 and '32 bodies. Even '33s are very close with a different radiator shell and front splash apron being the only difference I think. '34s were a redesigned body. They're all rare enough that you don't see many to compare. I've seen a few that claim to be a '31 or '32 but they aren't.
I know you're looking for doors and I'm sure they're the same on all three years. I've got '31 truck doors I can measure or send pictures of if you want. I don't want to sell any of them tho.

Well, if they aren't the same It'll take an expert to tell the difference.
I just remembered that Cword has a '32 Canadian truck and I just looked at a picture of it. I don't see any difference between it and either of my 31's.

My Dad had a '33 chev pickemup (265ci, solid lifters, 4bbl, 4 speed, '55 chev rear) and there was a '32 in town also. He said they were the same truck except for the hoodsides.

I have a 32 Stovebolt pu. Always wondered what the difference was? It was made in Jan 1932. I always thought it was a holdover. 49,600 actual miles. Bought from the original owner in 1970 for $700.00 (It had 42,000 then). I havent had the heart to whack on it yet.
Thanks for the post. Tommy Mc

my pops is a book of knowledge, but at hershey right now or i'd ask him, i'm building a 31 (i think) chevy p/u, really don't know what year, but 31 and 32 are identical, even my pops and his frinds can't figure what my truck is. 33's have different doors, and 30's are a little differet too

I have been researching that year models for awhile best I can tell the pre 30's chevy truck had the same body style as the 31-33 with the exception in 31-33 they had a metal roof in 34 they changed the cabs, grills, fenders etc There where also 1/2 ton and 1.5 ton stake bed trucks cabs and body's being the same

I have a 33, 1/2 ton truck, and as far as the cabs are, the 1.5 tons should be bigger. The wheel base is different too. I was going to sell my running boards and rear fenders to a guy in Canada, that was building a 33 1.5ton, and they were different bolt patterns and mounting locations. As far as the grills and hoods, the 33 shared the same dimentions as the 31-32 trucks. I have a 32 car hood+sides, grill, and light bar on mine, and they bolt in w/o modification. I channeled mine 5" so I had to drop the grill down, and will need to section the hood sides to be able to run them. I have the origional truck hood as well, they are the same. I belive the 30-32 cars use the same grill and front fenders as the 30-33 1/2 ton trucks. I have a book published in 1936 that is like a modern day 'Haines' manual, I'll check it out, and possible scan some info. for you.

31-32 cars all had different grill shells, truck were usually one year behind, 32 truck wore a 31 car grill, 33 truck wore a 32 grill, but the truck shells were steel, not brass. 30, 31, 32 all had different fenders
