I want to lower my 56 Sedan Deville, and I was wondering where can find some lowering springs for the front. Can I just get standard ones and cut them down?

Do any problems arise with cut springs... like having it fit into the spring pocket correctly?

Also, does anyone know where I can find balljoints? Is this something I can just get at the local Parts store? Where is a good place to find lowering blocks. How far can I safely lower it with blocks. I want to make this thing LOW.

Try Kanter Auto Parts in NJ for the ball joints

www.kanter.com (http://www.kanter.com)

With reference to the springs its better not to cut as you will experience a very hard ride & run risk of breaking the remainder of the spring. I forget what the lower wishbone is like on a '56 but a pocket is the way to go or airbags if you can run to that expense

The pics are of a '56 i saw this past weekend, it musta had 8" outa the roof & also had '58 rear fins.
I talked to the guy who was from Hamburg but i think it was done in Sweden.

Thanks, 32... I didn't know they had a webpage.

What all would have to be done if I was to airbag it? Would I have to four link the rear end, or is there a way to do it with the existing suspention
