Took a few in the dust bowl... 3000 cars this year.
The 37 lost oil pressure on the way back. There's no repairing low oil pressure on the side of I-71.. had to flatbed it. 200 bucks later...I am still smiling. I have been waiting for this to happen. Now its time to put the 50 flatty in this winter.
Go to the album for the rest. PJ Pumpkin Run (http://photobucket.com/albums/v11/petejoe/Pumpkin%20Run%2004/)

That was a good show. Some of the Greazy Hubcaps made the trip up with me on Friday night. Sorry I didn't get to meet with you.

Yes, I guess us Hambers don't stick out like sore thumbs.
Normal looking weirdo's were are. We'll just have to start wearing a Hamb t-shirt everywhere. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Sorry I missed you too. Did get to see Mac Vanpelt (40fordguy) again, peddling his flathead wares at the swap.

Petejoe,

Sorry about your oil pressure and $200. I tried to catch you at your car Sunday but didn't get to catch you. I only made it Sunday as Friday was work, Saturday was work & 3 grandkids soccer games (still have to be grandpa). I was amazed Sunday when my flatty won best engine of show. I know it's a brag but had to share. Hard to believe a 55 year old motor could compete with the new polished tuned ports.

You were right about the dust bowl. Seems like it's either dust or mud every year. It's really a shame that they don't do someting about the dust.

Congratulations! We took off right before the awards and car giveaway. No way did I want to win another car this year. I would never live it down. The giveaway was a plastic Anglia. I would have sold that one before I left the fairgrounds (Yuk)
Nothing at all wrong with bragging about an award. We put alot of time and money in our cars. Its great to see recognition and appreciation for some of it.
I missed a pic of the award winning flatty. Got one??

I was there on friday. We came up to get some stuff from Wirth's and just to look around. I posted a few pictures over on a message board call Applachian Car Shows. I'll throw up a link for those who might be interested.

Gotta say it is always cool to meet back up with other HAMB people. Such as Erik, his car always gets my attention.

JohnB,

It was nice to see you again. Sorry I didn't get to BS longer. I had a busy weekend and my wife brought our little girl up, so I was busy showing her off.

Peterjoe,

I saw you from a distance but did not get to say hello. You were busy looking at the blue Model A coupe and the sedan next to it. Those two are my cousins. Sorry to here about the bad trip home.
