Got to thinkin about this and Im sure it has happened to some of You Hambers too.
I had a 1966 Ford LTD 4 dr hardtop with a factory 428 4 speed. Now I thought that was one rare car and had the only 4 dr 4 spd car on the planet. That car has a chopped 50 Merc body on it now and is FEDSLEDS. Well I got another one now the EXACT same car but a factory 390 4 spd. Its Moms daily driver minus the 4 spd. But what are the chances of finding that same thing? They are still the only ones I have seen. Next up Me and JR got a 31 Bantam coupe in the back yard. AGAIN how many do ya see? I was lookin on the internet to find some pictures of a stock one to no avail.
So Im drivin not 2 miles from My house see a garage sale sign and parked next to it IS A PERFECTLY RESTORED 31 BANTAM COUPE!!!! I fuckin near drove My Shoebox in the ditch staring at it. Ofcoarse I stopped and talked to the guy for hours. Anybody else ???? ---FEDER

A guy that hung out with my ex g/f's dad had a 4 door 427 (maybe 396) 4 speed 68 Biscayne, bench seat, strippo model. That can't be too common... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Somewhere out there is a 1970 Olds cutlass vista cruiser SW with a 4 spd from the factory. The salesman tried to talk my friend out of ordering it.

In 1968 a local space and rocket engineer traded in his car for a new Dodge so I purchased for the price of 700 dollars a nice one driver well maintained 4 door 1963 Galixie 500 Ford 427 powerplant heavy duty c6 trans with coolers and all the heavy duty options had a calibrated speed o meter but was never a police car.It had air conditioner and bucket seats. So I junked it out and put the running gear in a 60 Ford Starliner. It was a fastback and looked a lot cooler.

At a Super Chevy event in Indianpolis several years ago there was a 68 Chevy Biscayne 4 door sedan 427 4-speed bench seat car. Info said it was ordered as a South Carolina Sheriff's car but never picked up. Note said 1 of only 6 built.
