1960 Oldsmobile Wipers

I'm looking for new wipers for a 60 olds, the ones I found say "w/ cam-o-matic wiper motor". Does anyone know anything about these wipers?

just a guess,but i think you could get either vacum wipers or electric.maybe it means a electric setup.

Which parts are you looking for? blades? arms? motor?
'new wipers' is pretty vague.

The cam-o-matic swings the arms in a wider arc to cover more of that wraparound windshield. That motor has more rotational travel (turns more farther) than the standard motor. The posts (transmissions) that the arms attach to are also different. There's a cam that adds pressure to the arm as it swings around the curve in the windshield. It'll work on your car, but you need to get everything. Motor, transmissions and arms. Might grab the switch while you're at it if your old ones are not already 2-speed.

thanks. How do I know if this 60 is equipped for a cam-o-matic wiper? It's missing blades and arms.

If you can determine if '61's are the same, there was a guy trying to sell some '61 arms on eBay cheap. You'll probable have to search past auctions.

Find a wrecked 59-60 GM car and pull the wiper assemblys off. They're all the same. Buick, Caddy, Chebby, Olds, and Poncho.

Someone posted here the other day about buying a 60 olds for the engine then parting out the rest, I can't find the post. Anyone remember who that was?
