Need some quick help here guys.
I have been offered a Model A that was burnt during last years So Cal fires. It looks, well, like it got burned to shit.

Anything salvageable? This was a immaculate restoration job. Wondering if seat frames, patch panels, cross members, hinges, anything like that is worth getting.

Part of me says let it go to the scrap yard, but on the other hand....

At the worst you could put it in the front yard and plant flowers around it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I have one like that.

If it's free, take it right away and THEN decide what to do with it. Free is, afer all, the best price. LOL

Build a cheap beater. 2"x 3" frame, mas front axle, junkyard engine, etc. Leave the crispy "patina" and have fun. Then sell it on ebay as the ultimate "survivor" for $10,000! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I say get it and see but don't be surprised if there is absolutely nothing on it that is usable. Most of the stuff I see come out of big fires is total junk,

There is nothing to gamble if it's free......The fire may have warped all the panels from heat but the axle, wishbones, etc dshould be useable. Lucky to get an offer like that.
