Not sure what I have. Sorry, cant do a pic. I have two, they look the same except one has a long tail shaft, the other is short. Very small bellhousing flange, the converter fits up into the engine block. They are both automatics, I'm told 4 speed???? The body is stout and smooth (for got to look at the pan). What do I have? I'm considering a Olds mill for a future 40 Ford Coupe project.
Thanks.

Thanks Jim...the profiles match up pretty good. Would it be worth the rebuild cost to use this tranny? Not sure of the reliability. Is there an advantage to the short or long shaft?

If it has two pans on it, one on the bottom and one on the LH side, then it's an early Hydramatic.
If it has a cast iron body but with an aluminum tailshaft housing or aluminum bellhousing, it's a Jetaway or Roto-hydro.

My jetaway was around $1100 to rebuild it not much better then stock- The trick is to find someone who can rebuild it- special tools and knowing how not to mess it up. I was told no hopping it up but it could have just been the opinion of the only guy i could find who said they could do it. As far as running it does jet a way and then kinda runs out of away power in the higher gears. I think the damn kit was like $600 bucks which makes them $$$ to play with.
Good luck,
danny

The Jetaway's and Roto's are not hotrod tanny's, they are for cruising/driving.
