lokar shifter question

hey guys,

quick question...what is the diameter of the shaft on the lokar shifters? half inch? any help would be greatly appreciated.

the shaft at the bottom is about an inch then tapers up to about 1/2 inch...........Marq

i just measured one , the bottom is 5/8" and tapers up 3/8" right under the shift knob

thanks a lot guys, that's exactly what I needed to know. I'm making a custom shaft that will get welded to my hurst unimatic under the boot, and I want to use one of those little leather lokar shift boots, real classy look, big improvement over those rubber deals. thanks again fellas.
