I am not sure what it came from can anyone help me out? It measures 6 1/2ft long 4ft wide and 20" tall.

Early '40s Hudson or Plymouth maybe? Just guessing. Kinda neat lookin' though.

Could it be a Dodge?

I have no doubt it is chebby. 47-53 is right but I think they used it about 10 years or more. I could photo a couple of mine and you will see they are the same.

My dad has a bed that looks just like that and it's a Stude.

Looks the same as many utility trailers of the 40-50's also, especially with no name in the gate.

I had a 46 dodge W20 and if memory serves the stake pockets on your look identical. I say Mopar from the 40's but keep in mind you are relying on the memory of a 54 year old. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's a 39 to 47 Dodge or Plymouth. The stake pockets on the chevy aren't as curvy.

I'd like to retract my previous comment about it looking exactly like the '48 chebbie in my barn. Now that there is decent light, nope... the stake pockets arent curved as much...
Dunno what the heck it is...

Looks like I opened a can of worms. So its either a Chevy or a Dodge or a Studebaker or a Plymouth. At least its not a Ford. It may be for sale but I was thinking of shortening it for a future AV8 Pick up project.

Keep the guesses coming!

My father has two 46 dodges and I had to fix the bed on both of them. It is definately 39 to 47 dodge or plymouth.
Sorry I don't hve pics of his truck in the computer
